Well I've bitten the bullet and traded in my beloved Nikon D3x and bought a D800 complete with Speedlight 910.  Ive recently uploaded a couple of images I've taken using the D800 and I find it a remarkable camera, I don't have any computer processing problems because both the storage and speed of my machine are more than a match for the D800's huge 36 mp images, so everything is currently cool beans...

So that's me and my good friend Prince-Photography sorted, so all we need to do now is to use the damn things.... Cheers All. :salute:

Well I now have a new computer capable of anything I throw at it...  "hopefully" hahaa...  Both myself and my mate Prince-Photography   built one of these beasts each, complete with SSD's. so all's good...

Its been to long since I last updated my journal and I think a lot of it was down to over complicating things, so I've taken a leaf out of my mates book and I too have decided to keep it simple, the layout has changed a little, images are a bit smaller but all-in-all I think it looks better.

I'm looking forward to the Spring, April in particular when together with a good friend I should be going to Scotland and to be even more precise Fort William in the hope of capturing some breath-taking scenery and in the Summer in Cornwall getting out and about with my trustee Nikon 3Dx camera, hopefully doing some more good quality landscapes some of them with my good friend.. I also have a couple of weddings on the horizon and I'm really looking forward to them.. Oh yes!!

I will also be looking at how I process my images with the view of making some improvements, what I mean is... the software I use and the way I use it from Photoshop, Lightroom, Photomatix and Nik Silver Efex to name just a few, and lets be honest if you cant knockout a descent image with a software arsenal like that your never going to... so I need to tweak what it is I'm doing.

Life at the moment feels Good ;)

Welcome
Well I’m off to Paris Monday to photograph as much of that beautiful city as i can … I just hope the weather’s kind to me … But first a weekend stopover in London, ‘yes your one step ahead of me’ to take yet more photographs of that fabulous Town, hope to have some really cool stuff  on my return to post on here!.:nod:

So if you don’t see me on here for a while I haven’t deserted the place I’m simply refuelling my Nikon, please keep an Eye on the place and thank you in advance for any comments you may make in my absence…Cheers.

The Photographic Club is coming along absolutely great together with my co-founder Prince-Photography its beginning to produce some really talented members who in turn are submitting quality images … the quality of the club will be a direct reflection of its membership and I’m in no doubt what-so-ever that it will be superb.

If your not a member of a Club yet and would like to be, you couldn’t have a better launching pad than the Photographic-Club and for those who are it will give you added coverage … I have no doubt that in time this club will be amongst the greats here on Deviant Art.

I will be featuring pieces of work from all my friends, as time goes by you will see them appear and disappear on a regular basis; you are all talented people which make choosing damn difficult. I will work my way through the list systematically so as not to miss anyone out.

I’m ask quite often what equipment I use the following is it!

Camera Nikon D200. Lenses Nikkor 18–70mm, Nikkor 12-24mm Nikkor 70-300mm and a Macro Nikkor 105mm.  Cokin filters Grad ND ect… A Monopod and a Bembo Tripod, that’s it Cheers.

May the next photograph you take be the masterpiece you long for!  Richard
